Skype 4.0.0.8 Installed

Skype is a very popular voice over IP application.  We have just created an RPM package for Skype running on TarHeel Linux 6 x86_64 distribution in TarHeel Linux repository.  To install Skype, run the following command as root.

yum install skype

We have also created a pull-down menu for Skype.  Select Applications -> Internet -> Skype and it will bring up Skype.  Log in with your Skype ID and password to start using it.

To uninstall Skype, you can run the following command.

yum erase skype
